Anybody else tired of turning on a new show for your kiddo, just to see that it’s obnoxious, filled with a socio-political agenda, or simply lacking in value? While TV and movies aren’t our go-to in parenting, it’s certainly part of most of our lives. That’s why we want to share some of our favorite Christian shows your kids will love! These shows are clean, non-obnoxious, and best of all, they teach our kids about Jesus!

Owlegories is an animated series that follows a group of student owls as they travel on adventures learning about nature, faith, and God. It’s a cute way to introduce kids to biblical concepts such as the fruit of the spirit, the lamb of God, and more. I also love that the episodes are only around 15 minutes long – a great way to get a little teaching in without vegging in front of a screen for hours.
Little Image-Bearers is a faith-based children’s show designed for children ages 2-10. Each episode includes a unique item to explore, a local visit relating to that item, a simple puppet pretend story, and a fun “try it yourself” project, all pointing towards a biblical concept discussed at the end. Lessons include intrinsic value, self-worth, aiming for the mark that God has set before us, and more. Each episode is approximately 15 minutes long.
The Torchlighters is a Christian animated video series for kids ages 8-12 that shares true stories of heroes of our faith. Torchlighter heroes are men, women, and children who respond to God’s call to live a life of whole-hearted commitment to Jesus, no matter the cost. Each episode is around 30 minutes long.
We’ve watched this show with our 2 year old and she enjoyed it, but it would definitely mean more for older children.
Mr. Brandon’s Block is the new show on the block (get it? 😂). It features songs written and sung by Mr. Brandon, special guests, science experiments, and adventure stories about a dog named Levi. The purpose of the show is to help kids with self-esteem, their feelings, relationships, difficult subject matters, and balancing technology in today’s world. This show runs about 23 minutes in length.
What’s In The Bible? is made by VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer. It’s a 13-part series centered around anchorman Buck Denver and his friends, who guide your family through the entire Bible! Journey with this musical crew as they find answers to tough questions like “who wrote the Bible?” and “what is salvation?” Episodes of this show are a bit longer at almost an hour each.
Though Mister Rogers rarely, if ever, speaks directly to faith in God, the lessons that he teaches are undeniably faith-based. This show will always be one of our favorites because of its calm nature, fun activities, and kindness shown by the host and guests.
Though there are many options out there, these are some of our favorite Christian shows for kids. They are clean and inviting, yet display the truth of the Bible in a way that really reaches the hearts of children. If you haven’t seen all of them, make sure you check them out soon!
