7 Inspirational Worship Songs For Easter

April 12, 2017

Easter is a beautiful time to  focus solely on Christ and what He has done for us. He came as a man, died on a cross, and rose from the dead 3 days later to redeem us. Without Christ, we are dead in our sins, eternally condemned.

But by the grace of God, with Christ, we are free, loved, and made alive again, just as He was. He deserves our praise, adoration, and worship.

In Christ Alone by Lauren Daigle

“There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain. Then bursting forth in glorious day, up from the grave He rose again. And as He stands in victory, sin’s curse has lost its grip on me. For I am His and He is mine, bought with the precious blood of Christ.”

Grace Flows Down by Christy Nockels

“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound. Amazing love, now flowing down. From hands and feet that were nailed to the tree, as grace flows down and covers me.”

No Longer Slaves by Jonathan David and Melissa Helser

“I am surrounded by the arms of the Father. I am surrounded by songs of deliverance. We’ve been liberated from our bondage. We’re the sons and the daughters; let us sing our freedom!”

Forever (We Sing Hallelujah) by Kari Jobe

“The ground began to shake, the stone was rolled away. His perfect love could not be overcome. Now death where is your sting? Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated!”

Alive by Natalie Grant

“What kind of King would choose to wear a crown that bleeds and scars to win my heart? What kind of love tells me I’m the reason He can’t stay inside the grave? You, is it You? Standing here before my eyes, every part of my heart cries, alive, alive! Look what mercy’s overcome; death has lost and love has won!”

For The Cross by Brian and Jenn Johnson

“But on that day, what seemed as the darkest hour, a violent hope broke through and shook the ground. And as You rose, the Light of all the world was magnified, and You rose in victory!”

Grace To Grace by Hillsong Worship

“When I see that cross I see freedom; when I see that grave I’ll see Jesus. And from death to life, I will sing Your praise, in the wonder of Your grace!”

Now it’s your turn. Which of these songs is your favorite? What are your favorite inspirational worship songs for Easter? Leave me a comment so I can check them out!

I love the hymns we get to sing at Easter time we sing at church. Having these hymns to listen to while working around the house or driving is wonderful.

This is a great round-up. I think In Christ Alone will forever be one of my favorites, though.

I love In Christ Alone. It’s the only one from this list I recognized immediately! I’ve been listening to a lot of Brothers McClurg…folksy enough for me but not too folksy for the kids :p
