Top 9 Places To Buy Cheap Maternity Clothes

January 26, 2017

Pregnancy is an absolute blessing! There is a precious little life growing inside your body and you get the joy of feeling kicks and flips and hiccups. It is the most joyous of occasions. But you know what’s not so joyous? Spending $45 on a pair of maternity jeans that you’ll wear for approximately 4 months. But with that ever-growing belly, do you have another option? YES! Maternity clothes can be expensive, but not if you know the right places to shop! Keep reading to find out my top 9 places to buy cheap maternity clothes!

Don't break the bank on maternity clothes! Shop at one of these stores for great prices! Click To Tweet

Amazon: Where else? 😉 A few things to keep in mind when shopping for maternity clothes on Amazon: look for add-on items, buy the cheapest color, and don’t be afraid to order something just because it’s really cheap. Even if you get it and it doesn’t fit, Prime offers free returns and 100% money back. This shirt and this dress are two great deals that I’ve found for under $5 on Amazon! Shop Amazon maternity deals here!

Friends/family: A friend of mine and my sister-in-law had babies recently, and both of them had some maternity clothes that they either didn’t love or just didn’t need anymore, so they gave them to me! If you have friends or family that have recently had babies, don’t be afraid to ask them if they have some maternity clothes that they’re looking to get rid of. Chances are, they’ve got a few and they’d be more than willing to share with you. 🙂

Wish: Wish is a great website that offers thousands of clothes at highly discounted prices. It’s great for any kind of shopping, but especially for maternity clothes! Many of these products are off-brand and made in China, but are still good quality. Wish tells you how much the product retails for so you can make an informed decision. And if all else fails, they offer a 30-day, 100% money back return. Shop Wish maternity deals here!

Swap: Swap is an online consignment store that has clothes for the whole family! Think of it like thrifting, but online and with free returns! How much better could it get?? One thing I love about Swap is that a lot of the products are name brand items, and you can search for those specific brands! I’ve found a lot of Motherhood Maternity items on here for way cheaper than I’ve found anywhere else. Shop Swap maternity deals here!

Zulily: Zulily is known for awesome deals on kids’ clothes, but they have amazing deals on maternity clothing, as well! I’ve found lots of great shirts for under $10! The reason Zulily can offer these prices is because they’re only for a limited time, so be sure to order quick! You can also sign up for emails about deals that might interest you. If you’re shopping for something specific, this could be a great idea! Shop Zulily maternity deals here!

ThredUp: ThredUp is another great place to shop online, because they offer secondhand clothes at really great prices, usually up to 90% off! Really, I’ll buy any kind of clothes here, and maternity deals are just a bonus! You can even trade in some of your old clothes and get store credit! Plus, if you click this link, you’ll receive $10 to spend on your first purchase, and I’ll get a $10 credit, as well! Win, win! 🙂 Shop ThredUp maternity deals here!

This shirt was given to me by my sister-in-law after she had her baby, and it’s one of my favorites!

Consignment Shops: Who doesn’t love thrift shopping?? I know women that have found maternity jeans that retail for $30 or $40 in thrift shops for $3 to $5, and you can often find shirts at an even cheaper price! You can use a website like to find consignment stores near you! And while you’re at it, check out your local buy/sell/trade pages on Facebook; they’re just as good as thrift stores sometimes!

Outlet Stores: Outlet stores can be just as beneficial as thrift stores sometimes! You can shop chain outlet stores like Burkes or T.J. Maxx, or, depending on where you live, you may be close to an outlet store for a regular store, such as J.C.Penney or Sears. These places take the “leftovers” from their regular stores and sell them at super discounted prices! To find these stores, ask around or Google outlet stores near you!

Groupon: Groupon isn’t usually the first place I think of when I’m buying clothes, but if you pay attention, you can catch some really great deals! Just search for “maternity” and you’ll find deals on dresses, shirts, camis, and more! They also have other maternity products like pillows and belly bands, so it can really be a one stop shop! 🙂 Shop Groupon maternity deals here!

You’ll definitely need it someday, Becky! It’s so crazy how much it can cost!

I got some cute things from Zulily when I was pregnant with my son. The only downside is that their shipping takes forever. I’ll have to try some of your other ideas next time. 🙂

Ah, yes, that can be a downside Laura! But I hope some of the others are helpful in the future!

These are great ideas! I was lucky enough to be gifted a bunch of hand-me downs from friends and family. I may have to look into these ideas for everyday wear as well. I am looking to up my “fashion game” (or lack thereof).

This is exactly the resource I was looking for… thank you!!! I’m the first of my friends to have a baby, so borrowing/hand-me-downs aren’t really an option… but spending a lot isn’t really an option either, lol! So thanks for the ideas!
