I love being married! People say that marriage is hard, but we haven’t experienced that. We’ve been in difficult life situations, sure, but marriage is the good part of it. Even when life is bad, marriage is good. We were at a wedding not too long after we got married and there was a place to write advice for the couple. Caleb wrote one simple piece of advice, and it suddenly made sense why our marriage is so good, so beautiful. I want to share that with you: one piece of advice for a beautiful marriage.
With Christmas on its way, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas gifts! Every Thursday leading up to Christmas, I’ll be sharing a gift guide for a certain group of people (click here to see all the gift guides). All of us seem to have a few people that stump us every year, so I hope these gift guides will help you figure out what to get those people in your life! This week, let’s take a look at a gift guide: for women! 🙂
Christmas is quickly approaching. Don’t worry, I’m not trying to rush through fall or skip over Thanksgiving, but in our house, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas gifts! Every Thursday leading up to Christmas, I’ll be sharing a gift guide for a certain group of people (click here to see all the gift guides). All of us seem to have a few people that stump us every year, so I hope these gift guides will help you figure out what to get those people in your life! Let’s get this party started with a gift guide: for men! 🙂
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, second only to Christmas. The weather is beautiful, people are out and about, and families get to come together and spend time with each other. Caleb and I both come from big families, and we love being able to spend time with them. Fall is also the perfect time to make memories, but so often we get stuck in a rut of just staying home and watching Netflix (guilty). To motivate myself, and hopefully my readers, to get out and enjoy the season, I’ve come up with 8 ways to make memories this fall!
Jesus Calling. My Utmost For His Highest. Anything by Beth Moore. They’re devotionals that almost all of us have at least one copy of on our night stand, in our book case, or somewhere on our Kindle. Devotional books are meant to encourage you and help you grow deeper in God’s Word. They’re wonderful; they really are. But I see so many women who dive into their devotional books first thing every morning, soaking up every word, but rarely open their Bible. Is that what God is calling us to? I don’t believe so; I believe He has so much more for us! Are your devotionals actually distracting you from God? To find out, here are some questions to ask yourself.
Caleb and I have been married for a little over 6 months. Time has flown by and it has been an absolutely wonderful adventure. Time and again, I’ve heard people say that marriage is hard, and I disagree. But one thing that I do think is difficult is remembering to tell your spouse how much you appreciate them. Sure, they know you love them, and that’s a vital part of marriage. But do they know how much you like them? How great you think they are? How much you appreciate them? Maybe not, and it can be easy to forget to tell them, especially in the midst of a busy season. But after much thought, I’ve come up with the perfect way to make your spouse feel appreciated every day.
Y’all, I lovelovelove breakfast. Well really, I love food, but breakfast is pretty high on the list of all foods. I’m obsessed with a good breakfast of eggs, bacon, and hash browns, but that’s just not possible most mornings. When I was teaching, I wanted to just be able to grab my breakfast without having to stand at the stove for 15 minutes, but I also wanted it to be healthy. So off to Pinterest I went, and I found some pretty amazing recipes that I could make the day before and enjoy the next morning! All of these are tried and approved by yours truly, and I promise you won’t regret making them! Here are 6 quick, amazing, and healthy breakfast recipes to try right now! 🙂
My husband is self-employed and I am a homemaker. When we got married, we set a budget, and we have to stick to it every month. Not only is it vital for our survival, but it’s important to us. We believe serving God with our whole hearts includes being wise with where our money goes. That includes making smart purchases, but it also includes NOT making purchases sometimes. Are you trying to stay on budget but still struggling? Stop buying these things! They help us to stay on budget! 🙂
There are so many admirable men and women in the Bible to look up to and take our lead from. Noah, Moses, David, Esther, Job, Mary, Peter, Paul, Timothy … they all set the stage for those that would follow after them. Their ways were righteous and their hearts were true. There is so much we can learn from each of them, but today I want to take a look at David. His story is so complex, so riveting, but what I love most is his heart. Oh, how beautiful it would be to have a heart like King David.
Everybody wants to make more money these days, amirite? I totally get it, and I’m in the same boat with you! We just bought our first house and found out we’re pregnant, so we definitely understand being a little tight financially! 😉 There’s soooo much information on the Internet these days about making extra money, and a lot of that centers around blogging. That’s great, but most of us aren’t going to make a six-figure income off our blogs (let’s just be real). But, never fear! There are other ways! Today, I’ve got 6 simple ways to earn extra money online!
