With Valentine’s Day approaching, many of us are focused on how we can love our husband in big ways: buy him a new watch, cook him a gourmet dinner, go all out and spend the big bucks. And that’s great, but Valentine’s Day isn’t every day, and I can’t cook a gourmet dinner every night. This year, I want to be more intentional, and one of the ways I want to be intentional is in loving my husband. Sure, I tell him “I love you” approximately 674 times a day, but am I being intentional in SHOWING him that I love him every day? Most days, the answer is no. If you’re like me, you might need these 21 ways to intentionally love your husband every day.

Self-employment is the dream for many people. “I want to be my own boss,” they say. And that’s a great dream, until work slows down or something stands between them and a job. Self-employment is hard. It means long hours, sometimes not being able to pay yourself adequately, and wondering where your next job will come from. Over the past few months, it has tested me and my husband in many ways. But you want to know something beautiful? It has also strengthened our faith. Isn’t it funny how God works? He uses things that stress us to draw us closer to Him and build our faith. Self-employment strengthened my faith, and I want to share that story with you.
Pregnancy is an absolute blessing! There is a precious little life growing inside your body and you get the joy of feeling kicks and flips and hiccups. It is the most joyous of occasions. Pregnancy is a beautiful, magical, special time in a woman’s life when she has the honor and blessing of growing a sweet baby inside of her. At least that’s what they want us to believe. 😉 In all seriousness, pregnancy is an absolute blessing and a wonderfully special time, but it can also be really rough on your body. Between morning sickness, exhaustion, and stretch marks, just to name a few, you can feel beaten up and worn out before your baby is even born. That’s why it’s so important to practice self-care during pregnancy. You need to take care of your body so that your body can take care of that sweet little baby growing inside of you. As I enter into my third trimester, I want to share with you 8 of my favorite tips for practicing self-care during pregnancy.
“Fear not,” said the angel to the shepherds in the field. “Be strong and courageous,” said the Lord to David. “Peace I leave with you,” said Jesus to His disciples. God calls us to a calmness, a peace, and yet all too often, we choose chaos and fear. I’ve seen it far too much in America over the past few months. When the presidential election was looming back in November, I felt a complete peace. When Donald Trump was elected, that peace stayed. And as he is inaugurated and our nation begins to change, I still feel a peace. Why? Because I know it’s all gonna be okay.
My husband is a filmmaker, and we love movies, but it can be hard to find a movie that’s clean, family-friendly, and not super cheesy! However, we feel that as Christians, we need to prioritize our faith over our entertainment, so we make it our goal to search out and find these movies! It’s not easy, but it’s definitely worth it! Interested? Scroll down for a list of 8 family-friendly, non-cheesy Christian movies, and I’ll even tell you why you need to see each of them!
I love the holiday season! We spend time with family, experience the wonder of Christmastime, and eat lots of good food! LOTS OF FOOD. With Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s all within six weeks of each other, I understand why people always set the resolution of getting back in shape and eating right. There is so much food available during the holiday season, and most of it isn’t healthy. Pies, cookies, cakes, and popcorn top my list of favorite holiday treats. Much to my body’s despair, I also don’t have much time to exercise during the holiday season (plus, it’s COLD). So needless to say, it can be hard to drag myself back to my healthy routines after the holidays are over. But don’t despair! It’s not impossible! We can do this together! I’m going to walk you through some simple ways to get back to healthy after the holidays!
