When it comes to our babies, we want nothing but the best, right? We want the safest car seats, the smartest doctors, the highest-rated schools. Yet when it comes to baby products such as lotions, shampoos, and wipes, we tend to buy what’s most popular or the ones we’ve heard the most about. Yet these products are the ones that are coming in direct contact with your sweet little one’s skin, so shouldn’t you want the best of them, as well? You should, and I’m a firm believer that natural baby products are the best.
For me and my family, living a healthy lifestyle means using natural products and remedies over medicinal solutions. This post is part of a monthly series called “Fighting Naturally” (see more posts here). Together, we look at different sicknesses, ailments, and other issues that are usually treated with traditional medicine, but can be treated just as or more effectively with natural remedies, such as essential oils. Since warm weather is here and that means the bugs are out, let’s look at fighting bug bites naturally!

Living a healthy lifestyle is an important part of my family’s life. We exercise as much as we can, we focus on eating right, and we do our best to take care of ourselves. We also try our hardest to use natural products and remedies before turning to traditional medicine. This post is the continuation of a monthly series called “Fighting Naturally” (see more posts here). In this series, we look at sicknesses, ailments, and other issues that are usually treated with medicine, but can be fought just as (or more) effectively with natural remedies, such as essential oils. Two pink lines appear on the test, then BOOM! Suddenly, you are faced with so many choices. Pink or blue? Separate crib or co-sleeping? Salty or sweet? 😉 One choice that you may not have considered is that of choosing between a traditional doctor (OBGYN or family practitioner) or a midwife. Many people don’t know this, but midwives are becoming a much more popular choice these days. For me personally, given the choice, I would pick a midwife every time. Why? Keep reading to explore with me as I answer the question: why should I choose a midwife?
Here at Small Town Soul, I encourage my readers to live a healthy lifestyle. This includes exercising, eating right, and taking care of yourself, but another way that I live a healthy lifestyle is by using natural products and remedies. This post is the start of a monthly series called “Fighting Naturally” (see more posts here). I’ll be addressing different sicknesses, ailments, and other issues that are frequently treated with medicine, but can be fought just as effectively, if not MORE effectively, with natural remedies, such as essential oils. Pregnancy is a beautiful, magical, special time in a woman’s life when she has the honor and blessing of growing a sweet baby inside of her. At least that’s what they want us to believe. 😉 In all seriousness, pregnancy is an absolute blessing and a wonderfully special time, but it can also be really rough on your body. Between morning sickness, exhaustion, and stretch marks, just to name a few, you can feel beaten up and worn out before your baby is even born. That’s why it’s so important to practice self-care during pregnancy. You need to take care of your body so that your body can take care of that sweet little baby growing inside of you. As I enter into my third trimester, I want to share with you 8 of my favorite tips for practicing self-care during pregnancy.
I love the holiday season! We spend time with family, experience the wonder of Christmastime, and eat lots of good food! LOTS OF FOOD. With Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s all within six weeks of each other, I understand why people always set the resolution of getting back in shape and eating right. There is so much food available during the holiday season, and most of it isn’t healthy. Pies, cookies, cakes, and popcorn top my list of favorite holiday treats. Much to my body’s despair, I also don’t have much time to exercise during the holiday season (plus, it’s COLD). So needless to say, it can be hard to drag myself back to my healthy routines after the holidays are over. But don’t despair! It’s not impossible! We can do this together! I’m going to walk you through some simple ways to get back to healthy after the holidays!

So off to Pinterest I went, and I found some pretty amazing recipes that I could make the day before and enjoy the next morning! All of these are tried and approved by yours truly, and I promise you won’t regret making them! Here are 6 quick, amazing, and healthy breakfast recipes to try right now! 🙂
