When it comes to our babies, we want nothing but the best, right? We want the safest car seats, the smartest doctors, the highest-rated schools. Yet when it comes to baby products such as lotions, shampoos, and wipes, we tend to buy what’s most popular or the ones we’ve heard the most about. Yet these products are the ones that are coming in direct contact with your sweet little one’s skin, so shouldn’t you want the best of them, as well? You should, and I’m a firm believer that natural baby products are the best.
Childbirth is HARD; let’s not even pretend that it’s not. Especially for first time moms, it is a trauma all its own. But it’s all worth it when they place your newborn baby on your chest. The sun is shining brighter, the birds are chirping louder, and your world is complete. Then, you take the baby home. And you have to feed it and change it and hold it while it sleeps, all while you’re trying to recover from giving birth. For me, that was almost as hard as childbirth (and I was in labor for 48 hours!). There are a few items that got me through the beginning without losing my mind, so let me share with you my postpartum essentials for the first two weeks.
